1. Who we are
MagicMunchkins is a trading name of [Legal business name] ([Company number or sole trader status]), [Business address]. You can contact us at hello@magicmunchkins.com.
2. What we sell
We create personalised children's storybooks from the details you give us. The story text and illustrations are produced with the help of artificial intelligence and checked by automated quality controls, so every book is unique. You can buy:
- a digital PDF (£8.99), available to download from your account; or
- a printed softcover book (£24.99, including UK delivery and the digital PDF); or
- a printed copy of a book you've already bought (£21.99, including UK delivery).
Before you buy, we show you a free preview of the cover and first page. Because the rest of the book is created after purchase, later pages will differ in detail from anything shown on our website.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Payment is taken securely by Stripe when you place your order; we never see your card details. Your contract with us is formed when your payment is confirmed.
4. Your right to cancel
Digital books. Your book is created as soon as you pay. Before paying, we ask you to agree that creation starts straight away and that you then lose your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Printed books. Printed books are made to your personal specification, so the 14-day cancellation right does not apply to them.
None of this affects your legal rights if your book is faulty (see section 6).
5. Delivery (printed books)
We currently deliver to UK addresses only. Printed books are normally dispatched within 5–7 working days of your digital book being completed, and we'll email you when your parcel is on its way. If your book hasn't arrived within 30 days of your order, please contact us.
6. If something isn't right
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content and goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a page has gone wrong (for example a character looks clearly different or an illustration is distorted), or your printed book arrives damaged or misprinted, email us within 30 days and we'll repaint the pages, reprint the book, or give you a refund.
7. The details you give us
Please only enter details you're entitled to share, such as your own child's first name and description, and don't include anything offensive or anyone else's private information. We use these details only to create your book, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Your finished book is for personal, non-commercial use: you're welcome to print it at home, share it with family, and give it as a gift.
8. Your account
We create an account for you when you request a preview, so you can come back to your books at any time. You can sign in with a one-time email link. Please keep access to your email account secure.
9. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to comply with these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach, up to the price you paid. We don't exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
